Colon Cleansing and its Procedure
A colon cleanse is a procedure to detoxify your body, cleansing parasites, preventing toxicity. By cleansing your colon, you can get rid of the harmful toxins in your body and regain bowel movements to normal. The main purpose of the colon is to help in the absorption of essential nutrients and facilitate the elimination of waste matter from the body.
However, when the colon does not function properly (due to blocked waste
matter in the colon), the harmful toxins cannot exit the body but get
circulated back into the system. This is what leads to severe health
problems such as constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, bloating,
chronic fatigue, acid reflux (GERD), and even skin and hair problems.
The only way to prevent the harmful toxins from re-entering the body
from the bowel is to ensure that the colon remains clean and can
function properly. This can be done with a laxatives or procedures, or
introducing good bacteria into digestive system, which may improve the
microflora of the intestines.
A constipated colon is one in which the transit time of food is more
than 24 hours. Transit time is the length of time it takes for food to
enter the mouth and exit the rectum. The basic principle of good
digestive health is that you should put food in and wihin 24 hours that
food should come out as waste.
A colonic is simply a large enema designed to cleanse the whole colon
from waste products, including stored fecal matter, gas, mucus and other
toxins.
After a colon cleanse, you should increase your intake of water to keep
your system from getting ‘junked up' again, and do a colon cleansing at
least once a year..
